These riding boots from Juicy Couture are a far cry from the company's terry cloth jump suits that they became famous for and we are thankful. They have elastic insets which will ensure that whatever pair of pants you want to tuck into them, be it skinny or otherwise won't have to be swapped out because they can't be crammed in at the ankle. Also available in black, and a hot pink lining to boot makes me want to jump on that fall footwear train and ride away.

Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone
I know summer is coming to a close, but I am in the Bahamas for the next three months and thinking of winter clothing makes me cringe. These Sunshine and Shadow shorts are super hip in Black Asteroid and are on sale now. All of Sunshine and Shadows summer collection was awesome and graphic if you didn't have a chance to see, but now they also have a capsule collection for Urban Outfitters called Yellow is Gold. Check them out to keep those winter wardrobe blues away!
(PS doesn't that model look incredible similar to Lauren Conrad?!)
Girl Gamers
I am not one for gaming units, though I will admit the Nintendo Wii is an exception. This new PSP is aimed at female gamers and comes bundled with a Hannah Montana video game. I have to say the lilac color definitely catches my eye and almost makes me want one, though I have no clue what games I would play. If Sony's Playstation games aren't your fancy, then check out the Nintendo DSi in blue. You can play Cooking Mamma till your heart's content. Video games may not just be for the boys anymore.

Today's Inspiration
I love this whole ensemble. Perfectly carefree, from the casual ponytail down to the high-waisted shorts. Details like her aviators and chunky watch add a bit of interest to the whole look.
A Perfect Storm
With tropical storms hitting and hurricane season in full swing, many of us will be stuck inside this rainy weekend. What better way to liven up the evening then mixing up a few cocktails with enjoyable company? This weekend's cocktail is appropriately named The Perfect Storm and is a tasty mojito-like beverage with a gingery twist. Go ahead and find someplace to gather indoors, start muddling those mint leaves and pouring these libations generously. Cheers!
Muddle 5 mint leaves in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice.
Add 1 ¼ ounces rum
¾ ounce ginger liqueur (Domaine de Canton preferred)
¾ ounce lime juice
½ ounce simple syrup.
Shake vigorously & strain into a cocktail glass
Top off with 1 ounce ginger beer. Garnish with a mint leaf.

She's Got Legs
With the sight of tights like these, I am no longer mourning the end of summer. I have always loved colored tights and their ability to add some refreshment to an otherwise dull outfit. The emergence of this season's funky pairs are something to look forward to come chillier days and I find these heart-patterned pantyhose particularly adorable!
Oh What a Dream
To take words from the great Rachael Zoe, "I DIE!" This Luella dress stopped me in my online browsing tracks. It's got edge with silver accents and zippers, but the sweetness of polka dots all rolled into one amazing party dress. It's just so cool and I can see myself wearing it with a cropped leather jacket so clearly, that it's cruel how far out of my dress budget it is. I'll have to resolve to imagining how great it would be to own because it is truly a dress that's the stuff dreams are made out of!

Heart on a String
Solange Azagury-Partridge jewelry was featured in a couple of September issues this season and we can see why. The pieces are eye catching, if not a bit graphic and these 18k yellow gold hearts really made me take notice. Her website showcases all of her incredible pieces, the lips rings are also noteworthy and the diamond pieces could most certainly become a girl's best friend.
This heart necklace though, bring a whole new meaning to having your heart on a string.

Hater Blockers
I have had a pair of BluBlockers since high school that I picked up at a Walgreens in Tortoise. Since then, I have purchased a matte black pair because they are super affordable and I always sort of liked the way that they made everything look, a view though orange/brown colored lenses if you will. Now they have been rereleased in a myriad of colors: a kelly green, pink, white, gold, and fittingly a bright blue. It's the end of the summer so don't forget to put your hater blockers on.

Raggedy Ann
This Rag and Bone Raw Edge Pleat Dress has such a soft and elegant front, then hits you with the black at the shoulders and line down the back. I can see it paired with a neon cardigan or heels to add a pop of color, completing the look. It will make guys hate to see you leave, but love to watch you go for sure.
Goose with the Golden Egg
These boots from Golden Goose are so incredible and rich looking that it's hard not to drool. They have a metal stirrup at the heel, pull on, and come in a variety of colors from brown to grey to an awesome black leather and suede combination. They will have you saying, "Daddy I want a Golden Goose now."

Ruff and Tumble
These stacked rings from Urban Outfitters caught my eye because they are a set, but you can wear them individually as well. They come in both silver and gold, and for $24 are a very accessible way to hop onto the stud trend for fall right now. Don't deny your glam fingers the right to look stud-ly too!

Listen to the Ice
Happy Wednesday! The week is now half way done and that right there is reason to celebrate. The Papa Doble has been a favorite of mine ever since stumbling upon the delicious concoction last spring in the weekly How's Your Drink section of the WSJ. This daiquiri has quite some history, as it was Ernest Hemingway's favorite drink and recognized as "Hemingway's Daiquiri". Although the drink may not be new, it's fairly new to me and I certainly appreciate a carefully made cocktail sans sugar and neon green mix. So sit back and enjoy, I know you won't be disappointed. Cheers!
Papa Doble
2 oz white rum
1 oz fresh lime juice
½ oz fresh grapefruit juice
¼ oz maraschino liqueur
1½ to 2 cups shaved ice
Combine in blender until foaming & serve in a large cocktail glass.

Va Va Valentino
These new Valentino totes for fall just leave me speechless. Maybe it's just my girlish reaction to anything this fabulous, shiny, and sparkly. Though they will cost you a pretty penny, the detail in the sequins and gem embellishments creates a WOW factor that totally could blind you into forgetting how much you paid for them.
Right Back at Ya
Dare to bare some back before summer's heat soon shifts into autumn's briskness. MK & A's fashion line, Elizabeth and James, is all about the details and this contrast crisscross banded tank is no exception. Neon pink is hot, hot, hot and will be sure to have heads turning wherever you go. So go ahead and show 'em your backside.
The Crocodile Hunter
Jimmy Choo and Hunter have teamed up and created the most fabulous wellies ever. The croc-embossed rubber boot. The interior holds an added bonus only you will see: leopard print lining. Sold out by fashionistas everywhere this past spring, get yourself on the waiting list for the next shipment arriving in November. These boots were made for splashing!

Beam Me Up Scottie
This little romper is almost too cute for words. Even though the summer is coming to an end it just seems to be warming up and this piece may be the answer to combat the heat. Made by Maeve, I love any one-piece that can make itself appear as two, and the Scottie dogs on the bodice would make even rover drool!
Lock it Up
I always seem to find myself stuffing all of my necklaces and bracelets in the side pockets of my luggage when I am getting ready to travel. This always makes me nervous that my one of a kind jewels might be broken beyond repair in transit. While it is reasonable considering the way I am sure most baggage men toss around luggage, I can't help but fear for the safety of some of my favorite accessories. Though carrying a specific jewelry box may be a bit overboard, for those who are willing, this Globe Trotter and Erdem collaboration is just what you have been waiting for. Consider this your armored car for jewelry during travel!

One Small Step for Man, One Giant Leap for Cocktails
In honor of the recent 40th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing, we are dedicating our first post on mixology to the iconic Buzz Aldrin. He was recently featured in advertisements with other famous astronauts Sally Ride and Jim Lovell for Louis Vuitton and now we can't wait to imbibe some of their favorite space drink, Tang. The namesake Buzz Aldrin is made as follows:
4 Parts Tang
2 Parts Peach Vodka
1 Part Triple Sec
Serve in a Tang rimed glass for a drink that is sure to be out of this world!

Welcome to the Jungle
Each season Tory Burch manages to surprise and impress me even more than the last. She has quickly moved past the ever present Reva ballet flat that imprinted her logo into every fashionista's mind and now is producing clothing, bags, and shoes that we can all drool over. Her fall collection is now available online and the studded bags are so rocker chic, while I also love this Metallic Zebra Skirt which would be perfect for a night out on the town!
Take Note
They may not be a secret, but Moleskin notebooks are probably one of the most handy things that you can stash in your giant tote of tricks. Since artists and intellectuals like Hemingway, Van Gogh, and Matisse swore by these handy little journals you are bound to channel them and find some inspiration. Now Moleskin has updated their basic black models to include a range of colors, so take note because school is almost back in session!

Howl at the Moon
The Roaring Twenties are back!...in manicure form anyway. I was ecstatic to see half-moon manicures on Dior's fall 2009 runway (pictured above), after seeing Marion Cotillard sport the look in Public Enemies. Don't let these nails fool you; the desired look is not easy to achieve. After a few failed attempts, I think i'll be seeing a manicurist . These bold nails look best painted a rich dark chocolatey-red color such as Chanel Vamp.

Bang Bang Bangle
This summer no matter how hot it gets, fashionistas everywhere have been seen rocking bangles practically up to their elbows. Most are unique and remind me of the friendship bracelets from yesteryear, each tell a story about their hip owner. Well these Mercedes Salazar bangles (featured in Teen Vogue) stacked together in sets look awesome, are hand woven in Tuchin, Colombia, and are made with satin thread and sterling silver. So stack them high because these aren't you're little sisters friendship bracelets.
Knock On Wood
Loeffler Randall just launched their new website and online store today, which means you can pick up all of their amazing clothing and signature Matilde flat boots from the comfort of your own bed. I was taken with this wood suede combination of the Esther Platform Pump it just looks so fresh! So the question is... "Wood" you?
The Cut
Antsy for a quick change? Behold the "lob", aka the long bob. Certainly not your mother's haircut, this is the freshest look for the upcoming season. The cut looks best hitting right at your collarbone, angled slightly so that it is longer in the front with razored edges. The "lob" has taken Hollywood by storm because of its simple versatility; whether styled wavy or straight it's quite flattering.

Hunk of Beirn-in' Love
Some of our best friends spend their days hopping around New York city sharing the good word of Beirn Bags, and we couldn't help but to listen up (Sarah Jessica Parker carried the bag above in Orange in the Sex and the City Movie!). The company features bags made of water snakeskin that are super light and come in over 20 colors! The Jenna bag is shown above, but the company also makes a larger top-handle tote, sharp envelope clutches, and a great array of colorful ballerina flats out of the same material. So even though it's hot outside, we can still look cool with our Beirn Bags!

Hip to be Square
Kate Spade dropped an e-mail in my inbox touting their newly designed web site yesterday and I couldn't help but to take a peek around. I found this great cocktail ring made out of resin that has a bit of retro glamour. So check out their new website hipsters and enjoy the perky bright colors of Kate's fun designs and maybe you will find a gem too!

Stay Cool
Rock 'n' Roll Will Save Your Soul
PS I Love You
Ever since Proenza Schouler launched his first line of PS1 handbags they have been seen on the arms of some of the most fashionable starlets. I have always loved the shape, but when I walked into Barneys the other afternoon and spied this purple color for fall I swooned. The picture does not do the color justice, but it most certainly is amazing enough that I just might write it a love note with a PS!

Happy to Report
Today marks the official start of Rachel Zoe's daily e-mail called the Zoe Report and when it landed in our inbox this morning we were thrilled! It even included one of her catch phrases, "I Die," making it all the more worth it. The first installment did not disappoint on content either as she discussed an incredible pair of Brian Atwood leopard print heels. So sign up now to get you daily dose of Zoe, it's bound to be "Bananas!"
