Wonder Stripe
To continue with my love of nautical stripes that surely is not going to ebb any time soon, comes Acne's take on the trend. As is typical of the super hip Swedish brand, they use a relaxed silhouette and altering the direction of the stripes gives it a chic, vintage vibe. This striped number definitely is a wonder.

Blue Bell
I've said it once and I'll say it again, one great waist belt can transform an entire closet of dresses into something new and fresh. Enter Derek Lam's Studded Leather Belt in a blue that is just the jolt of color that winter neutrals need to liven up. Get ready to be the bell of the ball, with this blue belt.

Collaboration Nation: Vera Wang
Though the collaboration between Vera Wang and Kohls is not new, it seems the line has had new life breathed into it for the holidays. The one strong point has actually been the sleepwear, which has comfortable and stylish nighties every season. This cream top has lovely contrast beading at the neckline and a feminine ruffle at the bottom that is dare I say it, Simply Vera.

Disco Ball
With New Year's fast approaching, I have already started thinking about what to wear when the ball drops and we move into 2010. When I saw this Alice + Olivia sequined bustier top it just screamed wear me to a fabulous party. The sequins on the top snake around making it look almost mosaic. Why have everyone focused on the clock striking 12 when this top is your very own disco ball. Shine on!
Stolen Wallet
One of our favorite's, Proenza Schouler, recently launched an online store with exclusive pieces that can only be purchased via the internet. Though the offerings are limited, the most notable is this amazing leather wallet that is already sold out in many of the colors. The best part is that it's only $165, which is a steal to own a piece of Proenza.

Secret Garden
Shoshanna's floral romper just screams vacation wear. As winter settles in, it becomes time to think about winter getaways and resort wardrobes. The romper is simple and lively with a great floral print, and so easy to throw on over a swimsuit after a day of lounging in the sun. This little garden number is just too cute to keep a secret.
Going Grey
If trying to get your hands on an Alexander Wang Rocco duffel is proving to be impossible, why not try one of his other drool worth pieces. The Diego Bucket bag is another alternative to get your studded bottom fix, but I may opt for Wang's Betty Flap bag in grey. The strap has some rivets and the sides have double zippers to expand your storage space. For once its ok to say, "I am going grey."

Just Peachy
Starting today, Paul and Joe's exclusive collaboration with the Outnet is available for purchase. I love the coral color of this winter coat, and the gold buttons and silhouette add a military inspired vibe. Since most of my winter coats tend to be darker colors this jacket would be a nice departure from drab neutrals. Be sure to check out this and the rest of the Paul and Joe for the Outnet collection because all of the pieces are just peachy.

Yikes Stripes!
Nautical themed stripes are going to be a hot trend this spring and summer. I like Cynthia Rowley's take on nautical from her resort collection, which does black and blue as opposed to the traditional white and navy. The dots on this cashmere sweater also add some whimsy, and I love the combination of a small stripe and the larger stripe in the skirt. This is one outfit that will have you saying, "Yikes Stripes!"
Funfetti: Part 2
I always find myself throwing credit cards and cash into my clutches for lack of anything better to hold it all together. Enter Part 2 of our obsession with Funfetti colored glitter: J. Crew's magic wallet, which can keep together all of our cash items and still fit into our clutch. This little bit of rainbow glitter is so lively and with a great price tag will be perfect for the chic girls on your holiday list.

Motocrossed
The other day I had the opportunity to check out American Eagle's new 4 story mega-flagship in the middle of Times Square. Though it's not a store I frequent, I was throughly impressed with this leather Moto Jacket, which felt buttery smooth and was perfectly tailored. I can definitely see this jacket thrown over all of my more feminine dresses to give them a tougher look. This is one jacket that is sure to leave you motocrossed.

Animal Instincts
Surface to Air's Animal Print Wedges manage to combine two things that I love right now, leopard print and lots of buckles. I first noticed them when a solid pair, they also come in black and grey, showed up on woman featured in The Satorialist's Burberry Art of the Trench campaign. These shoes are a sure fire way to bring out your animal instincts come holiday season, when you will need to be on full alert shopping for the family.

Super Stud
In honor of the release of style diva Rihanna's new album, MMM brings you a dress worthy of her fierceness. This Robert Rodriguez studded one shoulder mini dress is a standout, perfect for ringing in the New Year. I wouldn't be surprised if this dress causes heads to turn and is a super stud magnet.

Funfetti: Part 1
Glitz, glam, and glitter cannot be avoided this holiday season, and are a surefire way to make sure you stand out in a crowd. I would like to turn My Man Marc's focus to some of the most fun sparkle around, a confetti type glitter that is taking it's place right alongside gold and silver. We start with Deborah Lippmann's nail lacquer in Happy Birthday. Talk about a party in a bottle, this nail polish is sure to make you shine this holiday season.

Travel Grid Lock
Having just returned from a three month stay on a Bahamian island with absolutely no shopping, entering the United States airport was a bit of a culture shock. One thing I was struck by was the lack of great travel luggage rolling around the terminals. Enter Orla Kiely's Tripp series, which has been a favorite of fashionable travelers for seasons now. The all over car print is so fun and the bag is made of vinyl for extra durability. This is one piece of luggage that will be sure to get you through travel gird lock in style.

Hot Topic
Have I proclaimed my love for neon recently, because if not than this Jimmy Choo clutch is a great place to reassert it. A bit retro with it's triangle flap and the bright yellow color are sure to brighten up any outfit. The clutch comes in a hot pink as well for those not drawn to the yellow. This post is also appropriately timed because today is the official launch of Jimmy Choo's collaboration with H & M. Keep your eyes out for this clutch though because it is definitely a hot topic.

The Dog's Tuxedo
Something about an amazing dinner jacket makes me nostalgic for a time when people valued getting dressed up to go out, have dinner, and travel. Though this jacket comes in an all black version, I am drawn to the navy and black contrast. Whether dressed up or dressed down, this blazer is no doubt the dog's tuxedo.

V for Vendetta
Leave it to Chanel to create yet another nail polish color that I drool over. Though Chanel's Jade is awesome for bringing a bit of spring brightness to your fingertips, Vendetta is pure vamp for fall. The deep hue is so rich and with just a hint of shine, this purple is sublime. This color is so good, you may even be willing to fight a vendetta to snag a bottle.
Picnic Plaid
A good gingham check always seems to remind me of a picnic table cloth, even if it is not in red. Yet, I am always a bit jealous when I see men wearing gingham oxfords and wish that their was a tailored version for myself. Luckily J. Crew apparently thought the same thing because they created this cotton check shirt from their men's plaid. This is one chic plaid that will impress everyone at the picnic.

Groovin' to the Beat
Jonathan Adler's feel good manifesto translates perfectly in his quirky, kitsch accessories. Though he gained his fame from pottery (And perhaps Bravo's Top Design, "See you later decorator." Anyone?), I love his needlepoint accessories, including this MP3 case. Drawing on the days when records reigned supreme, this is one case that will certainly have you groovin' to the beat.
Finnish Fab
After a trip to Scandinavia last summer, I quickly became aware that one brand is ever prevalent over the rest, Marimekko. The Finnish brand best known for their Unikko flower print textiles are now moving beyond that to create some stellar clothes for fall. These frocks are guaranteed to make you Finnish fab.

Total Package
Every so often, a company that has steadily been producing incredible accessories makes the leap into apparel. Sometimes this foray is a complete and utter letdown, while others take the challenge and soar. One case of success is Loeffler Randall, who has been making awe inspiring shoes for seasons now. Just recently they added clothing to the mix, and I am not one for buying a total outfit from the same designer but this Triangle Fold Blouse and Layered Skirt combination is certainly something to drool over. So you may soon see me in head to toe Loeffler Randall, but not to worry, it's the total package.

Back to Basics
Sometimes the simplest pieces are the ones that people take notice of, and that is how this Old Navy ruffled dress caught my eye. It is effortless and easy, but with the right accessories and layering could be worn both this winter and spring. Also available in a shimmery grey color, this dress is sure to bring you back to basics.

Silky Smooth
In my opinion, it is never too early for a wish list. With a late November birthday coming up and Christmas not ridiculously far away, the latest addition to my list is the lovely Hermes medor twilly. With studs being all the rage, the Medor Twilly manages to combine a hint of punk with the classic sophistication that is Hermes. Wear the twilly as a headband, tie it on your wrist, or on the handle of your purse.
British Racer
It has been awhile since we did a nail polish post here on MMM, but we just couldn't resist with Butter London's British Racing Green nail polish. This dark green color was a favorite on fall runways, mixed specifically for Vena Cava. The company produces 3 free lacquers which means they don't include formaldehyde, DBP, or toluene, better for your nails and the environment. So check this color out and you too can be a British Racer.

Camel Back
With winter fast approaching it's time to start pulling out coats. I am in love with the color and shape of this Acne jacket, so rich and luxurious. I even like their idea of belting the coat, a strategy I plan on looking into to update my own outwear. This jacket is definitely bringing camel back in a chic way for winter.
Collaboration Nation: Stella McCartney x Gap Kids
While I have been waiting anxiously for the arrival of Pierre Hardy for Gap fall shoes, a day that seems like it may never come, another collaboration has sprung up in the meantime. Today marks the launch of Stella McCartney for Gap Kids. Though I realize we decidedly are not kids, that doesn't mean that a lucky few tiny ladies can't take advantage. Some of the best pieces already appear to be sold out online such as this Leopard Sweater Tunic and a boys Band Jacket. So run to those select few Gap stores carrying the line if you have a moment, either for yourself or some very stylish toddlers.

Trick or Treat
Looking for last minute Halloween ideas, American Apparel has some for those who haven't quite figured out their costume. Last year, I used an American Apparel leotard to create my gymnast costume and wore it beyond Halloween with jeans and shorts. Some of their suggestions include an aerobics class, a hip hop couple, and grandparents. So have fun today and get your trick or treats in!
Birds of a Feather
Headbands have become one of the new accessories that some people just can't live without. It is an extra piece of flair that can polish off a look flawlessly, and we all have Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl to thank for that. Queen B would definitely appreciate this feathered number and her minions would be sure to follow because birds of a feather flock together.

Bead Dazzled
Fiona Paxton's amazing beaded pieces became famous when they were spied dangling around Drew Barrymore's neck. Though they may not be new, there is still something incredibly fresh about the combination of sequins, beads, and chains. This is one hippie chic necklace that you can either dress up or dress down, and it will certainly leave you bead dazzled.

Back to the Future
Everyone has been on a Mad Men kick for quite some time now and if that involves having to watch Jon Hamm count me in! This dress channels the spirit of that era in the front and is show stopping in the back. I also love the navy and black combination, which I have been a fan of for years. This is one dress that will certainly pull you back to the future.
Match Made in Heaven
Designed by Kiel Mead, this match stick necklace is both simple and clever. I love the idea of taking everyday items and putting them in gold or silver form. Mead has also created a drill bit necklace, the metal rope tied Forget Me Knot rings, and even put a cinder block on a chain. One thing is for sure, this piece is a match made in heaven.
Dear Diary
I know that chronicling your daily activities in a diary is cliché, not to mention much too time consuming. Enter Philipp Keel's Simple Diary, which was created with a prompting question for each day to cut down on journaling time and entertain you in the process. The books also come in 6 eye catching colors that may have you saying, "Dear diary," after all.

Jumper Joy
This Silence and Noise Studded Jumper caught my eye not just because of it's super sleek styling, the studs on the shoulders add a bit of flair. I have debated trying a jumper for awhile now because it is one piece and poof, insta-outfit. This piece may just be the one that gets me to dive into the romper trend and jump for joy.

Collaboration Nation: Ruffian x Anthropologie
One collaboration that has managed to slip under the radar is the collection that Ruffian has produced for Anthropologie called Mise en Scene. Highlights include this camel winter coat with double ruffle collar that can either be buttoned up or let down. I also was taken by this little chiffon dotted blouse that would be a great piece to layer this winter. The collection also features amazing platinum ombre drinking glasses.

Rubber Band
Though summer is over, surely any hipster who spent theirs on the island of Nantucket returned wearing a stack of these on their wrist. The recycled bracelets by Made with Love in Brazil raise funds for L'Empire des Enfants, a school for homeless children in Darkar, Senegal. So add an eco-friendly pop of color to your wrist, while supporting a good cause and join the rubber band.

Trail Blazer
One wardrobe staple for this winter and beyond is a black blazer. Designers have offered up a number of different silhouettes, but the two I am most taken with are polar opposites. First up is Elizabeth and James's Blade Runner Jacket with sharp shoulders and a defined hem. The other style is a boxy, boyfriend fit as seen in this Vince 3/4 Sleeve version. Whatever you choose, a sleek black jacket is sure to make you a trail blazer.

Check Please
Plaid has been everywhere this fall and will most certainly stick around well into winter. Luckily, those sick of the boyfriend, lumberjack look now have a chicer alternative in Steven Alan's Heddy Shirt. This shirt has a nice relaxed fit that paired with some skinny jeans and boots will bring out the hipster in you. This new plaid will have boys everywhere paying your bar tabs, "Check please."
